The John Eaton Elementary School keeps the beat
Tabla for Two took part in the Embassy of Afghanistan’s Embassy Adoption Program at John Eaton Elementary School in Washington, D.C. This session focused on Afghan traditional music and dance. The fifth grade students were treated to a special performance of Afghan traditional music by Tabla for Two, as well as a presentation and video demonstration of different styles of traditional Afghan dance.

An Evening with Turquoise Mountain
Tabla for Two was pleased to perform a benefit concert at Lapis in Adams Morgan in support of the work of The Turquoise Mountain Institute. Turquoise Mountain’s aim is to revive Afghanistan’s traditional crafts, and to regenerate Murad Khani, a historic area of Kabul’s old city, known for its rich cultural heritage.
