Tabla for Two at DCAC
Last night Tabla for Two performed at DCAC to a sold out show. It was very exciting! With our dramatic 8 foot by 8 foot backdrop of the Tabla Sailing in the Nebula our instruments appeared to flow from the stage into deep space. The music absolutely matched the heavenly surroundings. It was far out!
We received a standing ovation and we are looking forward to performing there again soon.

Tabla for Two Played to the Afghan Community
Tabla for Two was honored to play before an attentive and appreciative Afghan community at the television station studio of Dr. Nadir Atash, Roshna TV, in Sterling, Virginia on Friday evening April 25.
There were 50-60 men and women in attendance. The Afghan women came up to Abigail after the performance, hugging her and thanking her deeply for helping to keep the tradition of their music alive. They told her how moving it was to see an American woman commit to learning and playing their music. The men also voiced their deep appreciation. It was the first time that Tabla for Two played before that community.
Attended the Zakir Hussain & Masters of Percussion concert
On April 13, a beautiful Sunday evening, Tabla for Two had the pleasure of attending the extraordinary Zakir Hussain & Masters of Percussion concert at the Kennedy Center Opera House, where every seat was filled. This performance was graced by the amazing classical dance of Antonia Minnecola, who took command of the stage.
Zakir Hussain and Masood Omari share the Punjab lineage of Indian classical music.
