Join Adas Israel Musician-in-Residence Micah Hendler and Tabla for Two for “Havdalah and Sing for Justice” celebrating Nowruz, an Afghan new years celebration, and focusing on the songs and stories of Afghan refugees. Special guests Tabla for Two will lead us in a musical celebration of Nowruz through song and dance, and speakers working to support Afghan refugees in the DMV will share their experiences and how you can get involved.
Saturday, March 12, 2022 • 7–9 pm
The Havdalah and Sing for Justice series is in partnership with Justice Choir DC and invites community members of all backgrounds, faiths, and levels of singing experience to join us and share their voices fully. We meet in person, indoors, masked, and socially distanced, for the event; for those who cannot join in person, you are welcome to join on zoom.
Please register to attend in-person or on Zoom. We hope you will join us in celebrating together through communal song and collective action.
